Champagne Bollinger enlisted designer Eric Berthes to re-imagine the Moonraker space shuttle. Crafted from pewter and wood veneer, encasing a Saint Louis crystal ice bucket and a magnum of Bollinger 2007, the Bond vintage par excellence. Each numbered piece has been crafted and adjusted by hand, making it unique. With over 300 years’ experience the pewter smiths, Maison OA1710, applied their expertise to making each ‘Bollinger shuttle’, which required more than a 100 applications by hand to perfect the finish. As a reference to Ken Adam’s work, a stylised version of the film’s shuttle has been engraved on one side.

To the eyes: the delicate colour and golden hues are a sign of the wine’s maturity and Bollinger’s wine-making methods. To the nose: a first impression of fresh almonds, then yellow-flesh fruit aromas evoking peach and mango; toasted, roasted notes accompanied with dried citrus and pink grapefruit. On the palate: a lovely aromatic fullness with honey flavours and a smooth chalky texture; candied lemon notes and a delicious bitterness, a wonderfully refreshing finish. To fully appreciate its unique style and aromas, this wine is best served between 8 and 10°C. You can enjoy this wine right away, or choose to age it in your cellar.
