Renowned wine journalist Steven Spurrier speaks of how the vivacity of Vermentino and the fleshy fruit of Grenache with its long-lasting flavours merit an impressive score (see Cell L). As Chateau d'Esclans is the estate-bottled wine of this property, it has a noteworthy place within the range. Its style reflects the different approaches used to make wine at Chateau d'Esclans, specifically Stainless Steel & Oak.

Beautifully pale rosé, lovely red fruits / wild strawberries on the nose with the lifted floral qualities of summer fruits, with a surprisingly (after the lightness of the nose) fully textured palate and more length than expected, a beautiful combination of the vivacity of Rolle and the fleshy fruit of Grenache with flavours remaining a long time. 17 / 20 Steven Spurrier
