OLFACTORY NOTES Unexpected and elegant, Violette Volynka presents a perfectly balanced blend of delicate, intense violet, revealed by a raw and powerful leather. An Hermessence suitable for both men and women.  THE OBJECT The House’s iconic lantern bottle is showcased by a radiant purple lacquer on the glass, echoed by the leather cap with its saddle-stitch signature and topped with an engraved Hermès saddle nail. ETHICS The 100 ml and 200 ml sizes can be replenished from the 200 ml refill. A responsible gesture, integral to an object created to last. THE HERMÈS DETAIL With its ridged grain, reddish-brown hue and burnt-wood scent, Volynka leather tells the story of vegetable tanning. Incredibly resistant, it perpetuates centuries-old techniques, such as oak-bark shredding or soaking in birch-bark baths. This long-forgotten know-how was revived by Hermès’ talented artisans in 2017 when a number of hides was discovered in the hold of a shipwrecked vessel.
