Planted in 1969 Moss Wood is an important, founding estate of the Margaret River wine region, located in the northern sub–region of Wilyabrup, Western Australia. The estate's exacting viticulture ensures the production of grapes of excellent quality & they have created a stable of fine wines distinguished by their consistency over each vintage & their ability to age superbly.

Merlot

On the nose displays powerful black fruits. Blackberry and mulberry, backed up by Merlot’s complex notes, with lots of mushroom, tar and earth. The palate has immediate impact with intense dark fruit notes filling the front and mid palate. Underneath is a firm structure of acidity and tannin, yet both are in good balance, such that the texture is smooth, with no drying or bitter astringency. The finish combines classic Merlot style of soft charry oak and bitumous notes.
