The Tsukuriwake approach, with its emphasis on diversity of making, is at the heart of Yamazaki. Creating with vision; using ingredients, aging, woods and processes to expand and explore the full range of expressions, of what a single malt can be. First grown in Scotland in the 1960s, Golden Promise Barley is an exceptional grain variety. Learned from scotch, first distilled in 2009 and matured in American Oak casks, the use of Golden Promise has resulted in a Yamazaki as malty and rich.
